Director of Persian Media Production
Ladan Doorandish is director of Persian Media Production, a non-profit media group producing Persian-language short documentary films, television and radio programs focusing on community building, human rights, social justice issues, and life skills for Iranian young generation. In her 39 years working in media and international development, she held technical, advisory, and managerial functions in such area as television and film production as executive producer and director, project management and training director. She lived in seven countries. In Egypt, she worked as Ambassador’s Self-Help Program Coordinator, managed special U. S. Ambassador Self-Help Fund. In Botswana, she worked as an independent television producer and trainer for Botswana National Television and UNICEF. In Kenya, she served as Project Manager and training Coordinator for Social Mobilization for Immunization, funded by the Canadian International Development Agency; and Media and Art Department Manager for Jacaranda Publications for Children. In Cote d’Ivoire, she worked as Media Specialist for the United States Information Service. In Israel, she served as Media Project Director, oversaw global media productions. She has graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Education with Master of Education with special emphasis on youth and children’s television production, and educational and documentary films. Presently she resides in Northern Virginia.
